FIND OUT MORE ABOUT NewstrAid

The NewstrAid Benevolent Fund (fondly known as “Old Ben”) will help anyone who has a UK news trade connection and finds themselves struggling to cope.

Since the charity was founded by, amongst others Charles Dickens, in 1839, NewstrAid has helped thousands of people (and their immediate dependents) from retail newsagents, wholesale newsagents, publishers and distributors of newspapers and magazines.  It might be illness, redundancy, victims of crime, disability or just trying to cope on a state pension – NewstrAid is there to help.
